Those of you who came along to the Open Garden back in April would remember the wonderful music we were privileged to have entertain us over the weekend. One of the entertainers, Eunice Rogers, wanted to let you know about another fund-raising gig they have coming up next week – see info below:
Fund Raising Gig at The Jade.
Nine-year-old-Pt Augusta boy Colwyn Wilton was born with a rare metabolic condition which affects the way his body breaks down sugar. He is the only known living Aboriginal person with MPS 6. Complications include airway obstruction, organ enlargement and skeletal deformity, all of which affect his mobility. There’s no cure for this condition.
Although he travelled to Sydney in April this year with his family to undergo bone marrow transplant, he needs ongoing care.
The family urgently needs money to pay for repairs to their car, because at the moment they are having to travel regularly to and from Adelaide by bus for treatment.
Riva (Eunice) Rodgers and Friends are holding a fund-raising gig at The Jade.
When: Thurs 31st August
Where: The Jade 142 – 160 Flinders St Adelaide
Time: 7- 10 p.m. (doors open 6.30)
Tickets: $15/$12 at the door
The Performers: Riva Rodgers and Dave Black, Henk Groot & Friends, and others still to be announced.
It’s going to be a great night – we’d love to see you there
